Ballyshannon and County Donegal

Ballyshannon, set beside the River Erne, is a lively trading town, which was created a borough in 1613. It is home to both the Donegal Parian China and the Celtic Weave Potteries. Just over the border in Northern Ireland is the Belleek Pottery.
Close by the town are the restored mill and waterwheel at Abbey Assaroe. Each August Ballyshannon hosts the highly acclaimed International Folk and Traditional Music Festival.
